Instagram fonts generator
Type your text and pick a style. Tap any row to copy it, then paste it into your Instagram bio, a caption, a comment, your TikTok bio or anywhere else that takes text. The styles include bold, italic, cursive (script), gothic, double-struck, small caps, bubble letters, wide text, strikethrough and upside down.
How these fonts work
Instagram doesn't let you change fonts, so these aren't really fonts. They're Unicode characters that look like styled letters. Unicode, the standard every phone uses for text, includes whole alphabets of bold, italic, script and other letters meant for maths. Because they're ordinary characters, you can paste them anywhere, and they look the same to everyone who sees them.
Where to use them
- Instagram bio and name: a bold or script line makes your name or tagline stand out. Instagram's bio limit is 150 characters, and styled letters count as one character each.
- Captions: use a bold first line as a heading. Keep the rest plain so it's easy to read.
- TikTok, X, Facebook and LinkedIn: they work there too, which is why "TikTok fonts" are the same thing.
When not to use them
- Screen readers read them badly. Software for blind and low-vision users may read every letter as a maths symbol ("mathematical bold capital Hβ¦") or skip it. Keep important words plain.
- They aren't searchable. Instagram search won't match a bold "π°πΌπ³π³π²π²" to "coffee", so don't style keywords or hashtags you want people to find.
- Some styles miss characters. Squared and filled circle styles only have capital letters, and most styles leave punctuation and accented letters unchanged.

Common questions
How do I change the font in my Instagram bio?
Type your text here, tap a style to copy it, and paste it into your bio. The styled letters are Unicode characters, so they work where Instagram has no font option.
Do these fonts work on TikTok too?
Yes, anywhere that accepts text: TikTok bios, captions, comments and more.
Are fancy fonts bad for accessibility?
They can be. Screen readers may read them oddly or skip them, so use them for a word or two, not whole captions.
Is the font generator free?
Yes, with no sign-up.
