Italian subtitle generator
On this page
ClipFlame generates Italian subtitles (sottotitoli in italiano) for short clips. Upload a long Italian video, and it cuts the best moments into vertical clips with word-by-word Italian captions, accents and apostrophes intact.
Italian speakers talk fast and expressively, which makes for great clips and demanding captions. ClipFlame times each word to the audio, so captions keep up, and it keeps Italian's accented endings and elisions exactly as spoken.
ClipFlame captions the clips it cuts from a long video. If you need a subtitle file for a full-length video, use YouTube Studio's captions for that; see how to add captions to a video.
What Italian captions need
- Accented endings. Perché, città, più and è keep their accents, including in capitals.
- Elisions. L'errore, dell'anno and c'è stay as one word in word-by-word styles.
- Fast delivery. Word Reveal and One Word keep up with quick speech without long lines.
- Regional accents. Speech from across Italy is transcribed; heavy dialect may need a few fixes.
What it looks like
A clip that opens on this line:
L'errore più grande è non iniziare mai.
In the bold all-caps styles it appears as:
L'ERRORE PIÙ GRANDE È NON INIZIARE MAI.
How it works
- Upload a long Italian video (MP4, MOV, MKV or WebM) or a Google Drive or Dropbox link.
- Italian is detected automatically. No settings to change.
- ClipFlame picks the moments that make sense on their own and cuts them on full sentences, 15 to 90 seconds each.
- Captions are burned in word by word, in one of seven styles.
- Fix any word in the editor and re-render for free.
On every plan, the scheduler posts the clips to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
Who uses it
Italian podcasters, coaches, educators, food and lifestyle YouTubers who talk to camera, and churches.
Pricing
Starter $19/month for 4 hours of video a month; Pro $39/month for 20 hours. Your first 10 minutes of video are free.
