Spanish subtitle generator

On this page

ClipFlame generates Spanish subtitles (subtítulos en español) for short clips automatically. Upload a long video in Spanish, and it detects the language, cuts the best moments into vertical clips and burns in word-by-word Spanish captions, with accents and ñ intact.

Spanish is one of the biggest languages on YouTube, TikTok and Instagram, with creators from Mexico to Spain to Argentina. ClipFlame detects Spanish on its own and writes everything in Spanish: the captions and each clip's title and post. See our Spanish sample clips on the homepage.

ClipFlame captions the clips it cuts from a long video. If you need a subtitle file for a full-length video, use YouTube Studio's captions for that; see how to add captions to a video.

What Spanish captions need

  • Accents and ñ. Á, É, Í, Ó, Ú, Ü and Ñ render correctly, including in the all-caps styles.
  • Inverted punctuation. ¿ and ¡ are kept where the transcript has them.
  • Regional variety. Speech from Spain and Latin America is transcribed as spoken; ClipFlame doesn't rewrite regional words.
  • Fast speech. Spanish is often spoken quickly, so the word-by-word styles (One Word, Word Reveal) keep captions readable without long lines.

What it looks like

A clip that opens on this line:

El mayor error es no empezar nunca.

In the bold all-caps styles it appears as:

EL MAYOR ERROR ES NO EMPEZAR NUNCA.

How it works

  1. Upload a long Spanish video (MP4, MOV, MKV or WebM) or a Google Drive or Dropbox link.
  2. Spanish is detected automatically. No settings to change.
  3. ClipFlame picks the moments that make sense on their own and cuts them on full sentences, 15 to 90 seconds each.
  4. Captions are burned in word by word, in one of seven styles.
  5. Fix any word in the editor and re-render for free.

On every plan, the scheduler posts the clips to YouTube, Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.

Who uses it

Spanish-language podcasters, coaches, churches, educators and YouTubers in Latin America, Spain and the US.

Common questions

¿ClipFlame funciona en español?

Sí. Detecta el español automáticamente y genera subtítulos, títulos y descripciones en español.

Does it translate Spanish into English subtitles?

Yes. Pick English under "Captions in" before you start, and the captions, title and hashtags of every clip come out in English. It works the other way too: an English video can get Spanish captions. See the caption translator.
